What wonderful photographs ! May I say, though, that I think Photo 404 should read North Street and not North Road.
I really enjoyed these wonderful photos. It also reminded me of when we would meet my dad on pay day from the Zylo works .I can picture the area around Carlton hill,Richmond hill,Albion hill etc.Opposite the Richmond pub;there was amazing place we called the dinner shop.I can still recall the wonderful smells ,the food was delicious.Next door was a sweet shop i believe. This was of course long before redevelopement. Lots more memories if anyone would be interested.
Hi, do you have any photos of Cannon Place please? My father lived at number 37 back in the early 1960's. I have been told that this house and others have since been demolished. Regards Kathryn
Hello. My auntie Miss Body lived in chain pier lodge in the 1911 census. Does anyone know if it is shown on any of these photos or James Gray http://regencysociety-jamesgray.com/volume4/source/jg_04_171.html Thanks, |Ivor Body
