Hi Bert My Grandad is Eric Kennett. I would love it if you could point him out to me and maybe if possible if I could get a copy of this photo please? I think he may be 6th from the right in the second row down but I could be wrong. please can you email me on michellekennett06@hotmail.com

I could be wrong but the boy in the front row ( 2nd from the right) looks very much as if he could in fact be me ? I was born in the Sussex Maternity Hospital in June 1933 and went to St Marks School ,and lived in Bennett Rd until we were bombed out there. The boy in question appears to be wearing glasses and has a 'sqint' which I did, until it was thankfully, corrected by a Dr Shurr in an operation at the Royal Sussex Eye Hospital. My only doubt is the year the photo is said to be taken ? Regards, John Starley. PS you have a marvelous collection of photographs of my home town !
