After school in the 50s I had a job delivering groceries in Kemptown. I worked for the Rolfes who had a grocery shop in St. Georges Road just along from the Odeon cinema. I remember this road as I used to push my trades bike right up to the top to deliver groceries to an old lady who always gave me a shilling (5p) for my trouble. I loved riding back down at a silly pace, if ever the brakes went on the bike....Abbey Road was so quiet and peaceful and I would have loved to have lived there despite the climb up the hill.
